A Bump In The Night

So I'm minding my own business, working the local school board meeting beat for a local rag that I have been working with for a couple of years now when my cell phone vibrates.

Normally, that's a wonderful thing, because of where I keep my cell phone and how dull school board meetings can become. So I pull it out and open it up. It's a text from some phone number I don't recognize originating in LA.

I open it up (can't resist a text from LA, it could be news from My Manager) and lo and behold, it's Producer Dude.

**
David. That Movie is back from the dead. Have a guy breaking it down. They want to spend 3 mil on it. I'll email you when I know more. Love, Producer Dude.
**

OK, he's didn't say "Love."

So what the heck. I dust off the script, read it for the first time in a couple of years, realize it's not nearly as horrible as it has every right to be- having been written fully four years ago- and tell Producer Dude to keep me in the loop and to let me know if Hell freezes over.

Isn't Hollywood fun?

Actually, this isn't a studio pic, it'd be an independent, bare-bones production for overseas. So it's more like... isn't Glendale fun?
